One of my favourite parts of being a Wales Wedding Photographer is photographing couples within the wonderful landscape Wales has to offer and this shoot is a great example of that. Fonne & Jeroen are from the Netherlands and are so in love with the rugged scenery of Snowdonia they came over to get married here. I was already booked on their wedding day for a wedding down South Wales but we met up the day after and the happy couple got back into wedding dress and suit for a wonderful, misty Welsh Wedding Shoot. They left the choice of location to me and I had the perfect setting in mind; Castell y Bere is a castle just 2 miles from where I live in the small village of Abergynolwyn in southern Snowdonia. Built in the 13th Century by the Welsh Prince, Llywelyn the Great it is one of my all time favourite places with amazing views of Cadair Idris to the east and Craig y Deryn (Bird Rock) and the coast down valley to the west. I’ve always thought it would be such an amazing location for a shoot and many thanks to Jeroen & Fonne for helping it happen. We got some great photographs before the mist and heavy rain came in.
